Hey Eda, I will brief you on how to pull out the ghostly avatar during exams. Please remember that the tips below work for me; you can take inspiration from them and easily make your routine. As you mentioned, you would like a separate morning or evening routine, and I have written it as appropriate.
You can just take out your pen or note down what you think will suit you best and match your preferences. Also, I have designated certain minutes for the morning and evening routine so that my exam routine matches my self-care regimen.
Morning Self-Care Routine (10-15 minutes)
Firstly, you must remember that self-care does not include only caring for your skin. Instead, it includes caring for your brain and body. Below is the routine I follow ahead of my exams.
1. Meditation
From listening to early birds chirping to walking on my campus lawn grass, I ensure I catch up with the morning scenery and inhale fresh air. However, if I run out of time, I only sit for 5 minutes and meditate. I often use apps like Calm and Headspace to achieve inner peace. You can also adopt this routine; it will instantly remove your negative thoughts from your brain.
2. Stretching
Moving your body is a must when discussing the self-care routine. For this, you can have a clear mind map of your time. It does not matter whether you have 5 or 15 minutes. You can loosen your muscles and increase blood flow. You must be thinking, how?
I follow my mini-workout routine, which includes 90 seconds of exercise. Depending on my mind’s needs, I sometimes do push-ups, neck stretches, or planks.
3. Healthy Eating and Drinking
Putting healthy eatables into your body is a big yes every time you have exams ahead. After all, a nutritious diet keeps you walking actively without making you lethargic. For this, you must have a developed routine of drinking water every hour you are awake. At the same time, you must buy grocery items that include mind-boosting chocolate bars, healthy snacks, nuts, fruits, and the like.
Evening Self-Care Routine (15-20 minutes)
The evening routine is about unwinding, letting the body rest, and nothing else. Here are a few routine tips you can follow and enjoy the most out of your exam day’s evening.
1. Evening Unwind
If day life seems engaging, you can do your chores, such as cleaning your room, taking a warm bath, putting on a face mask, making the bed, etc. Doing this gives you a calm evening that helps you prepare for the next day’s exams.
2. Journaling
Doodling or journaling about how you spent your day is the calmest activity I have ever known. If you haven’t tried it, you must. It will fill your mind with positive thoughts and relax you from the burdens of life.
3. Socializing
After a hectic day, you must unwind and relax a bit. There are many ways to do this, but the best for you is to spend some time in silence, read a book, or phone your beloved. If you don’t mind, spending time with your friends will do you a favor and prepare you to cope with exam stress.
4. Prepare for Tomorrow
A proper evening routine on exam days or upcoming exams is very important. It makes you prepare for your schedule for a few days. Firstly, set your sleep routine of around 8 hours to wake up without your eyes burning. You will feel organized and functional.
I’m hoping that my brief morning and evening self-care routine description will help you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
