Hi Fatima
Let me help you with this.
If you wish to immigrate to Alberta, you have eight options. This will help you determine which immigration stream is more suitable for your situation.
Streams for workers
· Alberta Opportunity Stream for some skilled workers currently working in an eligible occupation in Alberta.
· Alberta General Express Entry Stream for some candidates in the express entry system who have some shortly ranking system score of at least 300 and are currently working in an eligible occupation.
· Alberta Accelerated Tech Pathway falls under the Express Entry stream and is open to applicants working in Alberta’s technology industry. By the province, 38 occupations were identified from the industry that received a job offer.
· Rural Renewal Stream for candidates with a job offer from an Alberta employer for work in a rural Alberta community.
Streams for Entrepreneurs
· Farm Stream for those who wish to operate a farming business in Alberta.
· Graduate Entrepreneur Stream for international graduates of a designated post-secondary institution in Alberta that can wish to start a business in Alberta.
· Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream for some nationals who graduated from outside Canada and wish to start a business in Alberta.

Programs for Alberta Advantage Immigration
In Alberta Advantage Immigration, two programs are available: federal and Provincial. The provincial program is called the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program, or AAIP. The Government of Alberta can nominate individuals for permanent residence, but the federal government also makes the final decision.
The AAIP is an economic immigration program that nominates people to meet the province’s needs for workers and entrepreneurs. This needs to change when Alberta’s economy changes.
Provincial Program – Alberta Advantage Immigration Program AAIP
The AAIP has many other streams for individuals who are working or can also work in Alberta. Eligibility criteria can differ for each stream. Entrepreneurs can be interested in establishing or operating a business in the province.
Candidates must submit an Expression of Interest EOI if they are interested in receiving an invitation to apply to one of the AAIP streams. Candidates can be selected based on EOI score rankings and provincial labor market needs and priorities.
The Government of Alberta can nominate individuals for permanent residence, but the Government of Canada can make the final decision. All streams have a non-refundable application fee. A nomination issued under a particular stream cannot be used to apply for permanent residency under another stream. Each stream can have some different eligibility criteria.
Federal Government
The Government of Canada oversees all immigration to the country. The federal department can be responsible for immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship in Canada. You can also use the Come to Canada Tool to determine whether you are eligible for federal immigration programs.
