Hey Hurmat, last-minute packing is a big no. However, you made a good decision to pack early. In doing that, you had better say goodbye to your loved ones and catch your flight relaxed. Here is my go-to hostel checklist, which I follow every time. I will be happy to share it with you.
Clothing & Footwear
You must start your packing by folding clothes into packing cubes. Please pack your dresses accordingly if you have a long semester ahead with weather changes. Casual wear is a must; it will help you a lot while relaxing in your hostel room. Pack your undergarments, layers, socks, or a few formal dresses.
Since you are not the one who packs for the first time to go to the hostel, even then, I suggest you not forget to pick up as many sneakers as you can. You can carry formal heels if any function approaches. The choice is yours.
Bedding
Many hostel rooms allow you to bring your pillows, bedding, and mattresses. You can carry your favorite sheets so that you feel at home. Please don’t forget to pack blankets or comforters according to weather demands.
Toiletries
I better let you pack your toiletries on your own. Every skin type and body metabolism is different. That is why you should prepare your toiletries list beforehand so you never miss a single moisturizer or sunscreen. Also, consider carrying travel-size cosmetics to make them fit in the suitcase you are taking to the hostel.
Study Gadgets and Supplies
Here comes the most important part of hostel packing: study gadgets and supplies. Start packing your hard-file documents, such as registers, notes, and assignments. Then, pack stationery, including sticky notes, highlighters, pens, and extra notebooks. Lastly, you must pack your gadgets, like your laptop and iPad. I do not need to remind you to stuff your chargers, USB cables, and power bank.
Miscellaneous Things
The hostel is like another home away from it. You do not know what things appear as vital that you consider insignificant at home. That’s why you must consider every miscellaneous important thing and carry it at once.
Do not stress over the luggage’s increasing weight, as the items can easily fit in the nooks and corners of your suitcase without bothering airport staff. These items include umbrellas, water bottles, Stanley, a first-aid kit, utensils for cooking at the hostel, a backpack, and local snacks.
